BPS Responds to Weapons Related Incident

Possession of a Weapon / Resist Arrest / Failure to Comply with Probation

 

On July 2nd at 9:59PM police were called to a disturbance in the 1600 block of McTavish Avenue. The 20-year-old male was intoxicated and said to be acting aggressively towards family members.

 

Upon police arrival, the male proceeded to run at an officer while reaching and grabbing for a large kitchen knife from his waistband. He then changed direction and ran towards the residence.

 

The male was taken into custody by members in the doorway of the residence. He was arrested, held in BPS detention cells and will attend court in the morning on July 3rd, 2025.
